A bed and breakfast in the heart of Auvergne, France
Tourists, V.R.P., bikers…: welcome to the Clos de l’Etang! Located between Clermont-Ferrand and Thiers, we offer 3 double guest rooms and warmly welcome couples, friends, families with children or professional retreats.
Perfectly located, highways to Lyon, Montpellier or Paris are easy to reach from the House. We are less than half an hour from the Zénith d’Auvergne and the Great Hall of Cournon d’Auvergne, and less than an hour from the famous theme park “Vulcania”.

The passionflower has relaxing virtues. This room offers a bright and relaxing atmosphere through its light parma tone.
Room Orchidée
Warmth and harmony: our Room Orchidée is bright and spacious. You can easily add a baby bed or a 90′ floor mattress.
We also offer our “table d’hôtes” (evening only) on booking request only. Just like breakfast, dinner will be served in our veranda. We prefer to cook local products or from our garden. The breakfasts are generous, jams and yogurts are home made.
For VRPs, weekly half board is available from two-night stays: please contact us. We are not subject to VAT but our rates are still very attractive, so do not hesitate to reach out!
Stopping by our House is to choose calm and serenity. Forget the stress of everyday life thanks to the various choice of things to see and do in Auvergne! Auvergne is one of the oldest regions of France. With more than 2,600 years of history, you will love its culture and history.
If you are fond of cultural, religious heritage or nature, please come and discover our wonderful region. Auvergne is also well known for its gastronomy. Time to try a wide range of premium charcuterie and cheeses (Saint-Nectaire, Fourme of Ambert, Cantal, Blue of Auvergne, Gapron…)!
Our house is located beside the Ravel pond, a few hundred meters only from the Château de Ravel, filming location of the famous movie “Les Choristes”.
